Our Love Story

Our love story began like many age-old romances... at high school.

Except, plot twist... we were both the teachers.

We started in our respective positions on the exact same day in 2019, with our classrooms directly opposite each other. But truth be told, it took four years for Mr Carew to finally speak to Ms Snyders. And once they did... they never stopped talking.

Now, who's to say who made the first move? Was it him when he casually sat down next to her just to chat? Was it her when she sent a four-word message the Monday after the staff development weekend away? Was it him when he somehow managed to show up at all of her friends' events?

Because the truth is, it was never really about who made the first move. It was God who had been writing our story all along—choosing him for her and her for him. He took one world filled with rugby fields, whistles and scoreboards, and another filled with theatre lights, scripts and standing ovations, and wove them together into one beautiful story. And perhaps the most beautiful chapter of all is that Joel didn't just fall in love with Lauren—he opened his heart to Eli too, loving him as his own from day one.

Different worlds. One perfect Author. And in His perfect timing, He didn't just write a love story—He wrote the beginning of our little family.
